If you’re suffering with anxiety you’ve probably been told you think too much. People probably say “quit thinking about that!” or “it’s nothing to worry about! Why are you so worked up?!”
You worry about so many things it keeps you up at night. Sometimes you worry yourself right out of that date or trip to the store. At times, the worry becomes so bad, you start to panic or shut down. You’re exhausted from the amount of thoughts you have in a day and you're just really tired of the bulls*t in your brain.
Some common signs and symptoms of anxiety are: Chronic worries running through you head Wanting to be in control of your emotions but feeling there is nothing you can do to stop it Thoughts keep popping back into your mind even though you don’t want them to Wanting to know what is going to happen and trying to predict the future Feeling restless, keyed up, on edge and unable to relax Having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep Problems concentrating Avoiding situations that bring on a lot of anxiety or fear Crying when overwhelmed
The good news is that your symptoms are totally treatable and I love to use Brainspotting and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with my anxious clients. You're not nuts and you can learn new skills and heal.
