Counseling for Veterans and First Responders - Indianapolis
You've been considering counseling for a long time but you figured it would get better on it's own and you could just drive on. You were taught to adapt and overcome but you've been having a hard time shaking this. Sometimes you feel like you're just plain weak.
You finally decide to make an appointment. You call around and the wait is months, they don't take your insurance or have no understanding of the military. You don't want to sit and have to explain what going down range means, CoC or feel censored. You just want to feel understood and get help now.
As an Army veteran myself, I specialize in treating Veterans,EMS, firefighters, police officers and their spouses. I understand the fears of losing your job for being depressed or anxious, your insurance reporting back to your job or not wanting to work with civilians. I talk like an 11 Bravo and I don't care if you do too.
I was deployed in 2018 in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve. I spent time working with Soldiers in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan. My Army career is where I learned how to truly treat trauma and depression in a simple skills based approach. My clients appreciate my direct but down to earth approach.
Often times, my clients come to me after a spouse or their workplace gives them an ultimatum about going to counseling. It's usually due to some anger outbursts or anxiety. I often see military and first responder couples because this anger has taken a toll on the relationship.
I am in network with all types of Tricare, GEHA, Anthem, VA Community Care and Military OneSource. Please visit my insurance and cost page to learn more.
If you are referral from IMPD, IFD or the VA, I will add you to my first available cancellation list when I am booked out but you may still have a long wait.
